9/11

We wonder from whence the ideas of freedom came to the descendants of the northern people. It is old. In the old times, before we were christianised, we had freestates and freethinkers. So it is traditions that is as old as we are.

Now, there are many who threaten freedom all the time; Islamists, corrupt socialist governments, bureaucracies run mad. It all comes down to the same problem; tyranny. They like to rule and control other people, especially people they somehow dislike, be it the men of the West, the jews or the men of the East.

Sometimes they like to try our freedom, to see if we are still awake, or the corruption has got us chewed up. We were awake when the islamic hordes were here the first time, that was a time of Holger the Dane. According to myth, there will be a time where he is awakened, when Denmark is in mortal danger. He will rise as foe of old times, and start his songs of fighting.

My feeling is, that he is not totally awake but there are glimpses here and glimpses there. When he is totally awake, the foes of the descendants of Denmark will not be happy, but will meet a adversary of an imaginable force.

Let us remember that this day when we send our thoughts to the hapless civilians who lost their innocent lives in the flames of the dying twin towers. That day pushed us to remember a thing or two about freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and freedom of a man to follow his own destiny uncontrolled by tyrannical state.

These are some of the values we have fought for, Denmark and America in unison for years, let the years be many more.

G-d bless the forgotten, the persons in pain and families who lost so much on the 9/11.

I’m impressed at how effortless you make this topic look via your articles, although I must say I still don’t quite fully grasp
it. It seems too elaborate and extremely exhaustive for me.

Still, I’m keen to see what else you have to say in following posts: hopefully I’ll be able to grasp it at some point.
